This two disc album of music for the Gurdjieff Movements is excellently and sensitively played by pianist Wim Van Dullemen. Gurdjieff and P.D. Ouspensky. G.I. Gurdjieff described himself as a teacher of dancing, and brought an Asian tradition of sacred dance to Western students, for whom dance as an inner discipline as well as a physical and artistic expression was a very new concept in the 1920s.However, as Anthony Blake says in the introduction, "...the design of the music is not conceptual, but crafted in the substance of feeling.
